Learn how to speak Russian

Russian belongs to the group of Slavic languages and is a family member Indo-European language. Russian originated from the old Slavic languages. There is Evidence that shows old Slavic language was written and spoken since the 10th century. A poll taken implies that Russian is ranks 8th in terms of the number of speakers globally. The UN lists it to be one of its official languages, together with five other languages.

1950s, '60s and he 70's saw Russia emerge as a superpower, be it politics, science, art and culture and literature. Russia was becoming a potential threat to USA which ended in the Cold War. While American culture was becoming increasingly popular, Eurasia was getting more earthly and consolidated. While the western world primarily spoke English, the eastern part part of the world it was Russian. Russian language is essentially spoken in present day Russia, Belarus Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, it is also spoken in states like Latvia Estonia Moldavia and Ukraine and also all those countries which were once part of total USSR. Several noted Russian works have been translated into diverse other languages, so providing them with a rich piece of Russian culture and lores.
